Glass reactor: detailed explanation of common problems and solutions(Ⅱ)

The double-layer glass reactor is a commonly used equipment in chemical synthesis, pharmaceutical research and development, and material preparation. This article focuses on typical application scenarios of double-layer glass reactor, summarizes common faults and solutions, and helps users improve experimental efficiency.


3、 Abnormal temperature control

Phenomenon: The heating or cooling rate significantly slows down.

Reason: Insufficient circulating medium, dirty medium, or bubbles in the interlayer.

Solution: Replace with clean thermal conductivity or coolant, and exhaust the air inside the interlayer.

Pay attention to the recommended heating and cooling rate in the manual - it should not exceed 5 ℃ per minute, as sudden cooling and heating can easily cause glass to explode.

Phenomenon: Large temperature fluctuations.

Reason: Poor sensor contact or temperature control instrument parameter drift.

Solution: Re calibrate the temperature sensor. If the problem persists, please contact the manufacturer for repair.

4、 Abnormal mixing system

Phenomenon: There is abnormal noise or unstable speed during mixing.

Reason: Friction between the blade and the kettle wall, worn bearings, or loose couplings.

Treatment: after shutdown, adjust the position of blades to ensure uniform spacing with the kettle wall.

If the coupling falls off, simply tighten it again.

It is recommended to check the wear of mechanical seal components every six months and replace them in a timely manner.

5、 Daily maintenance points (extending equipment life)

Before and after each use: Check for cracks in the kettle body, wipe the interface with a soft cloth, and apply a small amount of vacuum grease.

Weekly: Clean the dirt that may adhere to the steel shaft to prevent premature wear of the sealing ring.

Monthly: Test the vacuum holding capacity. If the holding capacity does not meet the standard, priority should be given to checking whether the vacuum tube is aging or whether the sealing ring is deformed.

Long term shutdown: Each interface should be regularly loosened and activated to avoid connector jamming.
